Marketing for translators

LinkedIn and Contacts

In our list of LinkedIn contacts, we should have colleagues, direct clients, and LSPs (Language Services Providers), for which we are currently working or for which we might work in the future. This is important as our clients will be able to easily find us.

I also recommend that you update your LinkedIn profile whenever you attend training courses, receive a diploma, complete a difficult translation, or publish a book.

Our LinkedIn profile is like a résumé that is available 24/7. Headhunters and companies will increasingly rely on LinkedIn to seek future employees. LinkedIn profiles are ranked higher than other websites, so such profiles should be complete.

We can update our status with information that might interest our colleagues and clients. This, in turn, will increase our visibility and attract new contacts and clients, and allow our current contacts to notice that were are professional translators, with an ample experience.
